LSPAA sponsorship recognition at local events

Recently the LSPAA Lifting Young Leaders team met to broaden their focus on support of St. Pete schools. Through generous donations from members and businesses, LSPAA leveraged the Donors Choose 2X matching day on February 8th to support three St Pete elementary schools: Maximo, Melrose and Campbell Park. LSPAA works through Donors Choose to channel funds and supplies directly to St. Pete’s public school teachers to meet their specific project requests. Mrs. McCarthy’s Maximo Elementary Pre-K class received educational kits and games. Ms. Chugg’s students at Melrose Elementary received art supplies and books. And how could we forget Coach Francesca Futia’s P.E. students at Campbell Park Elementary, who we met in October 2022 after LSPAA’s first delivery of play equipment. More cones and exercise mats were donated. Coach Francesca says “Coach Williams and I were like kids on Christmas. Thank you so much.”

LSPAA was also a sponsor of the annual Chew and Conversation dinner at Campbell Park Elementary on Sunday February 19th. The program is part of the 5000 Role Models project and is directed by Carlos Childs. Students met adult role models for a dinner where they discussed goals, aspirations, grades and community. This year’s theme was “Strength Behind Us, Greatness Ahead of Us.” Mr. Childs reported that the event was a great success and thanked LSPAA.

When you donate to LSPAA Lifting Young Leaders, your gift stays in St.Pete and is thoughtfully and intentionally invested in our schools. Plus we’ll double it whenever we can! Our LSPAA Foundation is a 501c3 organization so your donation may even be matched by your employer. Want to help? Click the DONATE button at the top of any lspaa.com page.
