LSPAA Black History Bike Tour

LSPAA members enjoyed a 5-mile bike tour hosted and guided by LSP Class of 2009 alum, Josette Green. Josette, a historian, hosts a Black History Bike Tour, where she will take you to the locations where history began for St. Pete’s African American residents. The history reveals an understanding of the systemic racism in our city today and provides action items for creating positive change going forward. Josette has been hosting this tour for 3 years and has held 56 tours to date with over 1,000 people.

While the original tour date in February was cancelled due to inclement weather, Josette offered two alternative dates to registered LSPAA members. Some members attended, Saturday, March 9th while others will participate in April.

Josette's tour is all donation and volunteer based. To learn more about her work visit: Home | St. Petersburg Black History Bike Tour.
