LSPAA Alumni Spotlight

Meet Tina Fischer, Class of 2004

LSP Alum's Current Position/Title

Director, Collaborative Labs at St. Petersburg College

LSP involvement since graduation

LSPAA Board of Directors, 2004-2013; LSPAA President 2012-2013; Currently serves on the Planning Committee and has for over a decade.

What is your professional job and what do you do in it?

I facilitate strategic planning engagements for businesses, nonprofit organizations, municipalities, and our own SPC college family.

It's the best job as I am able to support multiple industries and learn about different initiatives happening in our community. Our wide range of clients include the Florida Department of Education, Habitat for Humanity, Pinellas County, United Way Suncoast, Homeless Empowerment Program, Friends of Strays, George F. Young, Great Bay Distributors, and many municipal governments, to name a few.

Our primary location is at the SPC EpiCenter building, and we recently launched a satellite location at the SPC Downtown Center. We also take our team on the road so I have gotten to travel to many cities, such as our recent mobile event for a Washington D.C. marketing & staffing firm which held their retreat in the Reunion resort community in Kissimmee, Florida.

What are your free time hobbies?

I enjoy boating on our intracoastal waterways, cooking delicious dinners for my family, and playing with our dog, Gracie. I love to read and listen to audiobooks, try new restaurants with friends, and enjoy a good bottle of wine.

What's next for you?

Besides working and volunteering on the LSP Planning Committee, I'm focused on supporting my 21 year old triplets as they navigate college and the real world. One day we will be empty nesters! Ha!

Anything else you’d like to share?

This year we are celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Collaborative Labs, so we have lots of great events planned that I hope will be attended by my LSP family!

From LSPAA:

Thank you to Tina Fischer, LSP Class of 2004, for continuing to be a leader in St. Petersburg!
